Just ick!

Well this one hits close to home. Another illegal chop shop shut down for regulatory violations in selling body parts.. We're talking human body parts here, not cars.

Can you imagine the call from your doctor after transplant surgery? We regret to inform you the heart we just implanted in your body may be tainted....

That's the trouble with the world today. Everybody is out to make a quick buck and ethics be damned.

That IS disgusting. That expression "money is the root of all evil" encompasses so much in our world today.

Yes, greed is dangerous.
We are basically eating our own these days. What ever happened to being able to trust somebody, anybody?

Sadly, I remember when people looked out for each other and honesty was the norm instead of the exception. Those values seem to be lost in too much of the consumer society. It's all about getting theirs and the hell with everyone else. Altruism is dead.

Hi Libby, Long time no talk :) Along these lines, there's an even more disturbing story unfolding regarding China. They're being accused of systematically killing political prisoners - particularly Falung Gong practicioners - to feul a massive illegal market in harvested organs.

So far I've only read about this in the Epoch Times in Sydney, but the movement seems to be taking off elsewhere as well, and politicians and Human Rights organisations are starting to really go after them about it.

Meanwhile China of course is playing the victim...

If you're interested in more on this there is a debate going on the blog of a Senator from Queensland named Andrew Bartlett - more here.

Hey Mike. Nice to hear from you. I know you've been busy. The body shops do seem to be a growing problem. It seems they're not well regulated. WTF is up with that? Wouldn't you think something that depends on strict sanitary conditions would have some rules?

Thanks for the link.
