They really love me

I don't know why I bother to engage my critics at DetNews. It's a losing battle. Wingnuts never admit they're wrong. Still, you know you're cracking the cognitive dissonance a little when they're reduced to comebacks like this.
Her goal is not truth.
Her goal is the destruction of the United States.
(Constitutional Patriot)

I pity her, and weep for those condemned to live in the society she and her friends think they can design.
(MTCicero)
The pairing is almost poetic don't you think? Sort of wingnut haiku.

They didn't seem to mind living in Bush's Roy Rogers G.I. Joe fantasy amusement park for 8 years.

That's the part that astounds me. They sound like we did for the last eight years. Except, we had, you know, a legitimate gripe.

Ka, Ba, and Sekhmet
All in all eleven souls
dead in airless tombs

Sorry, somebody said haiku.

They aren't actually responding to you, it's just a litany, a religious recitation, a formula. They don't know how to understand being wrong because the belief is all they have. They're nobody without it, just disembodied souls wandering through the underworld in confusion.

Fogg! I knew you were a poet at heart. Confused, deluded, they really are lost souls. The funny thing is they think they're winning the argument with these silly put downs.

I was going to post over there, but it's hard to wade through all the hate. Who are these dweebs? Angry retirees living off FDR's "Socialist Security"? Disgruntled young Republicans getting paid too little by their corporate masters to pay off their college loans? They can thank the Repuke's for that.

I think they must be people who have their clock-radios set to Rush, and they get a full hour of subliminal horsesh*t before they're fully conscious every morning. Then they spend the whole day regurgitating it. Eeecchh.

I'll try again when I'm feeling like a little decimation.

Courage, ma soeur! Don't know how you do it! Ya gotta lotta heart, kid.

Of course they think they're winning and that their recitations and lamentations will bring rain and the anarchist Utopia they were promised by the prophets. They will turn defeat into stories of victory, so it doesn't really matter what happens.

Just by way of demystification, the Ka, Ba and Sekhmet are three of the eleven souls one has in the Egyptian religion.

Cosa, I'll be there five years in April. You get used to it, and at first it wasn't so bad. I had a lot of lefties in the comments. But when they took on JD, he brought all those idiot wingers in and people got tired of wading through their shit. Plus most of the lefties started their own blogs at my encourgement.

It's also really hard to find that comment section. Clicking on the comment feature under the post, only brings you to the ones that clicked into the forum through that post. Often they just start a new thread. The only way to enter the forum directly is to use the check comments thing at the top of the first post. Otherwise you don't see it all, or sometimes you get kicked into the general forum.

The poliforum is here.

Fogg, at this point I'm convinced there is no way to break through and shine a little reality on their fantasy world. I didn't get that reference in the haiku. The breadth of your knowledge continues to astound me.

It's first hand knowledge - I used to work in the Ramses II administration back in the day.
