Wild horses, couldn't drag me away

When the GOPers speak of dark horse candidates the names you hear are Jeb Bush, Paul Ryan and Chris Christie, all of whom adamantly deny any interest in being drafted. However, apparently feeling fully experienced at governance after a few weeks in the Senate, Rand Paul is ready to saddle up for a 2012 run. It all depends on if his Daddy decides to go for the roses one more time.

Meanwhile, embracing his inner wild stallion, Donald Trump gallops after the Birther vote, arguing on The View that Obama must produce that long form slip.

Of course, there is an actual dark horse Republican candidate already. Sadly, he's having a bit of trouble attracting the big bettors. Being the first declared gay Republican candidate for President apparently doesn't have quite the cachet one might expect. Really hoping they're forced to allow him into the debates.

So you are arguing that a retired California political consultant should be invited to to the GOP Presidential Primary debates? Is it simply because he is gay and you feel gay people shouldn't be judged equally with others?

And it's kind of humerous how you imply that being Senator for a few weeks isn't enough of a qualification to be President... Obama was only Senator for a short time as well.

favorite of paul's debates was one in which he insisted that krugman hadn't anticipated the financial meltdown so shouldn't be quoted by his opponent as an authority; of course, krugman's nobel prize was for predicting and warning against that meltdown.

Con teachers, no I'm saying he's a declared candidate, in fact the only officially declared candidate and all candidates that are on the ballot should get equal air time instead of allowing the party puppetmasters or the media to play gatekeeper on a democratic process.

LOL Ruth. I missed that debate, but the cons in my circle hate Krugman with the heat of a 1000 suns. They all claim he's NOT REALLY an economist too.

Hell, everyone was predicting that meltdown. Remember Fox's "scientific" survey showing that "Liberals were talking down the economy" and the proof was that economists were predicting a disaster?

"Liberals hate America," was the story -- otherwise why would they warn us of something that couldn't possibly happen what with all the tax cuts, the spending, the borrowing and the deregulation.

Now Palin and Bachmann and Beck - those are economists.

Really. If only we had listened to those three and let the invisible hand of the free market fix everything...

But Libby, we did... not that we libruls did, but the country let that free market ideology draw us into the economic hell we're struggling with now.

We know that Ruth, but to hear the cons tell it, we never gave "the hand" a chance to "really" work.
